I grew up in a small town in northern Maine and picked many
potatoes during my adolescence. I graduated from Franklin
Pierce College in Rindge, NH with a BA in Fine Arts and
Graphic Arts. After college I moved to Seattle and worked
at the famous Pike Place Market where I met my husband.
After experiencing an earthquake and with Y2K coming, we
decided to move to Portland, Maine!
In 2004, I became The Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper,
winning a national gift wrapping contest in New York City.
Winning such a contest landed me on the Today
Show and the Ellen
Show. Since then I
have had gift wrapping tips published in
Better Homes and Gardens, Woman's World, and Nick Jr.
have always been fond of "objects", finding them and saving
them. I first started to make my Art For Small Spaces in
2000. It allowed me to display and give appreciation to
these objects that get lost or discarded. My small space
boxes have progressed over the years and become more
elaborate and bizarre. But, I have always enjoyed where
they take me. I hope you enjoy them too.
